A historic event

1. Charles Lindberg, the pilot who made the first nonstop solo transatlantic flight, took off on May 20, 1927 , at Roosevelt field of New york city.
2. His plane didn't have any parachutes and radios.
3. He flew over the Atlantic Ocean from New york and passed Nova Scotia ,New Found Land, Ireland. He flew about 3,600 miles and it take 33hours.
4. He arrived in Le Bouroet Airport in Paris on May 21, 10:22 Pm.
5. There were about 100,000 people and greeted him.
6. He received the medal.
7. The New York Times reported Lindberg became the new national hero and symbol of aviation.
